Comfort was more important today than production.
Warm hands, a cosy kitchen, and simple do-it-yourself solutions…because caring for one and another when our bodies need rest is just as important as sustaining the home. The essence of everything I talk about here is less overwhelm and more intention.
Less running, more focus. If you are unprepared, equip yourself with this recipe for mindful homemade Pesto so that it can be a
part of your family’s first aid kit to keep all well.

Ingredients

A Bunch of Basil
2 Cloves of
Organic Garlic
½ Cup Organic Pine Nuts
4 Tablespoons of Organic
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
½ Teaspoon Celtic Salt
or Celtic Salt to Taste
2 Tablespoons Organic
Lemon Juice

Method

Once picking the basil, you put everything you need in a vessel to blitz. I use a large metal vessel (it is actually part of a cocktail shaker, not everything needs to be conventional after all…)

After that, I prepare the garlic cloves by removing their skin and placing them whole.

I measure the pine nuts, then add them to the container along with the oil, salt, and lemon juice as directed. Let’s get started with the blend. This mixture comes together quickly and smells amazing.

To be stored in a glass jar and used within 2 weeks, ours gets used up before the end of this usually! Homemade pesto is beautiful in colour, taste and no UPF.

You may cure yourself and the people you love by living in a world of good intentions for your family and yourself.
